High School Principal Dr. Travis Burns has been named the 2025 Outstanding High School Principal of Virginia by a panel of principals and superintendents representing the Principal Awards Committee of the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals (VASSP).

Northumberland County, Virginia has 191.4 square miles of land area and is the 88th largest county in Virginia by total area. It is bordered by Accomack County, Virginia, Somerset County, Maryland, Westmoreland County, Virginia, Richmond County, Virginia, St. Mary's County, Maryland, and Lancaster County, Virginia.
